Complete Vaccination

Immunization is the best form of protection you can give to your child. Figuring out which vaccines your child needs — and when to get them — is overwhelming for any parent.

When your child becomes a patient of Happy Kid’s  Clinic, you get a customized immunization schedule. We ensure that your child is up to date on all of their required vaccines. Your pediatrician documents everything on a schedule, so you know exactly when you should get started and how often you need to visit your doctor.

We also have a system of sending reminders for your vaccine so as to make sure your child does not miss any vaccine.

We follow immunization guidelines set forth by the Indian Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Parents often ask if vaccine injections can make their child sick. It’s normal for children to have minor reactions to shots. Serious reactions to vaccines are very rare.

Parents usually ask…

Care for your Child after Vaccinations

  • Cuddle and comfort your child.
  • Encourage your child to move the arm or leg that they received the vaccine in.
  • Put a cold cloth on the area.
  • Consider using medications for pain, such as paracetamol.

With the exception of rabies vaccine, ACIP allows a grace period of 4 days (i.e., vaccine doses administered up to 4 days before the recommended minimum interval or age can be counted as valid)

As per the World Health Organization (WHO), subsequent vaccine doses have permissible waiting period for interrupted or delayed immunization. Hence, a delay in immunization is manageable. Having said that, I urge parents to get their children vaccinated with the deferred doses at the earliest.
